Dr. Jane Barratt is a global expert in ageing, health systems, and policy transformation, and an internationally recognized advisor and independent consultant. She served for over two decades as Secretary General of the International Federation on Ageing (IFA), an international NGO with general consultative status at the United Nations and official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO). In this role, she helped shape global policy agendas on population ageing, including the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing, the WHO Immunisation Agenda 2030, and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Dr. Barratt currently serves on several influential expert groups and advisory bodies. These include the WHO Technical Expert Group for the Influenza Prevention and Control Roadmap, the WHO Global Network on Long-Term Care, the WHO Clinical Consortium on Healthy Ageing, and the WHO Working Group on Equitable Immunisation across the Life Course. She is a member of the World Federation of Public Health Associations Immunisation Task Force, the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics (IAGG) e-TRIGGER Board, the Scientific Board of the European Interdisciplinary Council on Ageing, the Vision Academy, and advisory initiatives supported by Sanofi, Bayer, and others. In Canada, she is a board member of Baycrest Seniors Care and the Baycrest Geriatric Centre, and Vice Chair of the Baycrest Academy for Research and Education.

With over 30 years of cross-sectoral experience, Dr. Barratt is known for her strategic insight, commitment to equity, and deep understanding of how policy, systems, and science intersect to improve the lives of older people globally.
