Dr. Kairat Tabynov is a virologist and vaccinologist with expertise in the development of next-generation vaccines for zoonotic and avian influenza viruses. He leads research at the International Center for Vaccinology in Kazakhstan, focusing on reverse genetics platforms, mucosal immunization strategies, and DIVA-compatible vaccine technologies. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and collaborates extensively with international partners on vaccine research and pandemic preparedness. His recent work has included the evaluation of commercial and prototype H5Nx avian influenza vaccines, as well as the development of novel immunization platforms tailored for use in resource-limited settings.
